It's March and that means it's Procurement Month!

This is the month to acknowledge this group of professionals who make a difference in governmental efficiency and effectiveness. It's also an opportunity to help educate all about the procurement process!  We celebrated with our Spring Dinner Meeting at Big Al's a week ago and had a great time-thank you to all who joined in on dinner and bowling.  Many of our local entities are also officially proclaiming March as Procurement Month such as Ada County, City of Boise and City of Meridian!  Check out NIGP's note about this celebration:  NIGP-March is Procurement Month!

New CPPBs!  Congratulations to Chelsea Cameron and Arianne Quignon with the Idaho Division of Purchasing on getting their CPPB Certifications recently!  This is a great accomplishment.  If you're interested in getting your certification in the near future, we are hosting a CPPB Prep Class in Boise on April 27th, 2016.  Check out our Events page for more registration details.

Wow, it's 2016!  We have lots to be thankful for here at IPPA, our membership is at its highest yet at 41 members!  We're so excited for fresh ideas and more great events to come.  It's a brand new year and elections are over, it's that time of year where we have our Annual Winter Dinner Meeting!  We had 3 new positions on the Board of Directors come open and we installed our new officers that night as well as installed our new President, Kathy!  It was a great dinner at Twigs Bistro at the Village in Meridian; we had a great turn out including government folks from several different organizations.  We were also lucky enough to have Rob Rickard again as our guest speaker.  He gave us some great words of wisdom on "success in purchasing," and really some great advice for our personal and professional lives.  It's always fun hearing from Rob when he's in town visiting us.  Check out the photo album here: 2016 Winter Dinner Meeting Gallery
